Hi The chassis number indicates it was built in November 1932. The original registration book states 19th July 1933 Laughing

Purchased on Ebay in July 2005. I started restoration in Oct 2006. It had to be ready for my daughters wedding inJune 2007. As the photo shows it was ready. Laughing

great going there spindleboy!!!!
when I've cleared the decks with some other outstanding work, I'd like to make some moves with my 10/4, although I think mine will be more of a re-commissioning job, rather than major stripdown (at least thats the theory...)

You're in good company here, pigtin has a 10/4 too.

I'll move this into the Your Cars section in a mo, might as well be in there rather than get buried amongst the general threads in this category Smile

Hi Malc

Mine is a cabriolet, 2 door with the 3 position hood and pram irons at the back, sold I think at the same time as your tourer. I'm not in any of the Austin clubs at the mo, I might join sometime. Are you in the A10 Drivers Club???

After sending last message I found your car on the your cars section, not too good with these forums but am learning. Yes I am in ATDC I have found it very good for spares and easy to obtain technical advise. I attended the national show at Wincanton last year on the Friday, not with my 10 as it was a bit far. Everyone was very friendly and I hope to go to future nationals. The spares store visits certain shows and jumbles during the year. The mag is sent each month and is usefull for tec info and show details

Hi Malc, interesting, I may well join when I start looking at the Austin in detail. I'd like to re-commission it but run it looking as-is, although the hood is shot so that'd need changing in the fullness of time

Hi Malc.
Couple of ways I've used to get 10/4 and accommodation to shows.
The folding caravan is a 'Chateaumobile'. actually took it to the ATDC nationals in the cotswolds.

I bet there's plenty of 'Smiles-per-Mile' driving it or maybe 'Her' Rolling Eyes Laughing
