I may use a cover on cold nights, I did use a winscreen cover last year a couple of times, but it still ices up on the inside. I should try to stop the moisture inside, but as you will probably know in a mini that can be difficult.

A sump heater may be a good idea, may help a little!

I will look into pre icers, never seen them before!

Cheers

An old Beemer I used to have, had some sort of system for pre-heating the interior. You could programme the computery thing on a timer, and it'd (in theory) fire up a fuel-powered interior heater, so that it'd be warm when you got in. Never really sussed it out, and I figured that the car used enough fuel (V12) as it was without using more to warm the interior Cool

Rick.

Ah, buzzy, the things we have in cold climates!

Rick, the system you describe in your old Bee-em sounds like a version of the Eberspächer heaters that used to be a very desirable accessory here for Beetles, as well as other air cooled cars. Running off diesel, they also used to to be fitted as standard on that wonderful american invention, the Gama Goat. Which must be in the running for the wierdest vehicle ever made!

I like the look of the gama goat!

I think Fridolin's have got to be a contender!

Have a search on the internet, think they were made by VW and used by the german post office. Weird shape but I find them quite attractive!!

Have a look at this http://www.thesamba.com/vw/classifieds/detail.php?id=371344
