The bloke in the back is fammilar to me for some reason, but don't know why. Looks like a bloke from a comedy sketch or something!

Hi Rick,
taken at the James Herriot visitor centre at Thirsk. Well worth a visit if you enjoyed reading his Vet story books. The Austin 7 was used for filming for the TV series.

The man sitting in the rear with the top hat reminds me of Roscoe "Fatty" Arbuckle of the silent movies.
The man driving might be actor Ed Wynn.
Not positive of either one though. Confused

I had an email the other day, and he suggests the 2 passengers were the sidekicks in a pre-war Will Hay film - thats where I remember seeing the guy in the back, he says ..

"i may be wrong but i think the fat man in the
Austin 7 is Moore Marriot, and the old man is
Graham Moffet, who played Hardbottle and Albert
in in the 1938 film O Mr Porter with Will Hay.
I have no idea who the man is in the hat and
goggles."

Thats certainly the film I think I've seen the big fella in

Rick.

The driver reminds me of Jon Pertwee.

I believe Graham Moffet left the acting profession and bought a pub.
the other guy does indeed look like Moore Marriott-he was not as old in real life as he appeared on film so he could have appeared on stage at a later date. The driver still looks like Jon Pertwee.
