I could see a Farina A55/A60 making a good pickup, with those fins it'd look quite neat (but I'm not chopping mine up to try it Smile )

The convertible is certainly nice looking, but I hope the floorpan was suitably strengthened.I would think the roof provided much needed integrity to the body, and removing it would make the car sag in the middle, and you would no longer be able to open the doors. Some mates of mine did this to a 100E prefect in the 70's,when they were just old bangers. It took 3 weeks before the car virtually broke in half Embarassed

Was talking to a guy last week who is doing this to a late 50s minx, but he has gone all the proper way, and studied an original convertible to make it look 100%. He showed me some photos and the work he's doing is a state of the art, he even transformed it from a 4 door saloon to a 2 door firstly before chopping the roof and then did all the strengthening up before chopping it also.
That Farina looks a bit weird because its a 4 door and you dont see much 4 door convertibles!!
Was tempted to do something similar to the hunter before starting the resto but gave up thinking it'd look strange and too home built!!!
