Hi
Llandudno was excellent!
Had many interesting moments, including being stranded on top of the Orme with the PF, and also finding myself dodging the slits between the planks on the pier with the PF! hehe
Was really warm Sat and Sunday with lots of sun, and then a little wet and cool yesterday!
I have some pics courtessy of my sister and mum on Saturday and a few others on my phone, but couldn't take any on my camera, due to not having any pockets to put a camera in in my plus fours! hehe
Will post the pics later hopefully.
Cheers

In similar vein, did the Foden Steamer drive there from Hetton-le Hole. That would have been a sight along the M62!!!

Great photos, Dave.
I enjoy the traction engines. Steam power is sooo smooth and vibration free.
Is the second photo Chitty Chitty Bang Bang??? (One of the cars made by Ford for the film??) If it's not, then I apologise to the owner.

Hi
You are correct it is the main chitty chitty bang bang car, GEN II I think, It is one of about 6 other cars made for the film, only this one was road registered during the film since then one other slightly less fancy version has also been made road worthy I think, and the others are specialised, like with wings etc!
Pierre Picton, the now owner was the chap who maintained them during the film and bought the two most complete versions after the film, later selling one and keeping the one you see. I was chatting with him over the weekend.
I believe all of the above is correct, or it is how I understand it!
I too like steam, as some of you know, but I won't get into that tonight!
Cheers
Dave

He he, doubt it, but could be wrong, as many people road their engines to raliies, there was a discusion about long distance traveling only the other day. One chap used to take his engine from by me to Anglesey quite a bit, and that is a fair way, 80 or 90 miles!
Cheers
