Strangely, I only just found this site!

I have a '39 Citroen Light 12 (restoring), a '53 Citroen Light 15 (on the road) and a '32 Riley 9 Special (restoring).

Live in South Wales

Hi Alistair, welcome to the forum - sounds like an interesting collection!

There are one or two pre-war Rileys and Citroens dotted about the forum membership I think!

Here is the Riley I bought last year. All original except for body!

Lot of work but it will be worthwhile!

Breifly, my history has the car sitting since 1964/65.
The previous owners plan was to re-do the body like for like but he never got around to completing it.
It was licenced in 1964 and I assume it was driven. Previous owner said he had driven it.
Beyond 1964 I have very little info, except that it belonged to an RAF "chappy" who may have done the body. May have originally been a Monaco?
Everything is there, just a simple resto job!!!£££!!! LOL

It'd be worth having a thread about it in the Your Cars section if you get a mo, hopefully some of the other Riley owners will chime in with their experiences!

Can't beat a proper dusty old "barn find" like that! Smile
