I've just come back from checking my friends classic caravan, just brought, the owner showed him everything working. A quick look under the bunk rang alarm bells, where the gas tap from the fridge was situated the copper pipe going in to the tap had traces of orange gasket seal.
A gentle push on the pipe and it came very loose with a major gas leak. I took both ends of the pipe off and the olives were sitting at the end of the pipe, what should happen is the pipe should be pushed into the joiner and then the nut tightened to compress the olive leaving a good half an inch of pipe past the olive. New olives fitted and all is well. Steve |
