I have fitted a mini heater into my ford f350 truck it came with a heater valve which connects in the middle of one of the water pipes from the heater.Does it mater were i connect it,the in or out flow. The valve has a wire you full to open the valve which then flows the water.Does the water still flow around the engine if the valve is off stopping the water going throught the valve. Also does it make any diffrence which pipes i connect from the engine to the heater.Hope you understand what i am trying to say.

Any water restricted valve to facilitate heating should have no problems when shut because the flow only stops the hot water into the heater matrix. The water then bypasses around it`s merry way in circulation.Up to date models normally use a combination of valves and heater flaps but i don`t think you`ll have any problems..
