Hi,

When we go away to shows we like to make a weekend of it so I’ve started to look at caravans that would suite the Art Deco style of my Chevy and also be useable for weekend trips.

My ideal would be a lovely 4 berth airstream but these are very expensive so looking for something equally suitable from the 40s or 50s but more affordable.

Any tips, recommendation, links and price guides?

Thanks
D

yep its a qwerky little van ,was towed round the rallys by a morris lorry
last seen out at stoneleagh town and country show, a few years ago

The van was for sale in the Feb 2009 HCC news letter, i have repeated the add word for word ,note how the two adds differ
Charmin and very much admired reconstruction of an early 1950s period 2 berth caravan believed of Belgium origin, totally unique having lantern roof with opening windows discreet 12 and 240v electrics, gas lighting, and cooking. the caravan has tiny toiletcubicle, internaally contained sink plumbing, weight 500kgs, 7ft high and length is 10 foot
Ready for immediate use No offers under £850

This add was written by the man that owned and restored the van , and having seen the van myself, i think this is a fair and honest description OVM Smile

Many thanks, thought it might be worth looking at - and the price you quote seems far more reasonable Smile

I must admit we did think about it when it was advertised in the Wanderer last year at the cheaper price and I looked at it again when it appeared on eBay last night - not us though!
