Hello All, wondering if any advice? Engine has been stood a long time. Don't really want to use use an expensive "classic" oil, after a few minutes running will change oil, I suppose really I'm flushing the engine.

Cheap 20/50 oil from Wilkinson/Supermarkets can be had for less than £5 - this is not graded but good enough. You could ven get way with 15/50 or 15/40 for this exercise
Not a good idea to use flushing oils in old engines that have stood - it is far better to remove the sump scrape out the sediment in there _________________ Phil
I agree. Always a good idea to drop the sump, clean it out and make sure the oil pump pick up is nice and clean, then use any old oil because it will better than the engine was designed for.
Do a few quick oil changes and then use something better.
