I've just been pointed to this rather nice film that gives a good impression of what things were like at the time. Good variety of different cars and bikes.

Thanks for that first link Peter - made my afternoon. Nice ducksback Alvis 12/50 Austin 7 several side valve Rileys and even a Frazer Nash having a push feature briefly never mind the odd Bean! Could only identify very few of the bikes though.
Actually I think the Austin 7 was a works car as I seem to recall the reg no.

Good find Peter, thanks! Some nice footage of the Rest and Be Thankful in 1950, the Alfa appears in it twice (although no shots of the Dodge!)
