The following PR arrived the other day, may well be of interest:

---------------------------------------------

2010 THEME
-----------------------------------------------------------------
The theme this year is 'Viva Veloce! – The Passion for Speed'.
This theme celebrates Italy's all-consuming fascination with
motor racing, and its global influence on the sport. From Alfa
Romeo to MV Agusta, Ascari to Agostini, and Monza to the Mille
Miglia, Italians have raced with breathtaking fervour, inspiring
desire and devotion that transcends national identity. The 2010
Festival of Speed will honour the cars, motorcycles, drivers and
riders that raced with unbridled Latin zeal, and the legendary
feats they achieved, with a particular emphasis on the centenary
of one of Italy's most celebrated marques – Alfa Romeo.

Goodwood will also celebrate 60 years of the Formula One World
Championship, with a gathering of cars and drivers that have
shaped the history of motor sport's most glamorous series. The
60th anniversary of the epic Carrera Panamericana road race, and
50 years since the RAC Rally took to the forests for the first
time, will both be marked in true Goodwood style too.

DRIVERS & RIDERS
-----------------------------------------------------------------
We're very excited to announce that a host of champions and
legends, past and present, have already confirmed their
attendance at this year's event, with more to follow over the
coming months.

Formula One ~ Six of the current 2010 teams have already
confirmed their attendance at Goodwood, along with a number of
this season's drivers, including the reigning World Champion
Jenson Button and the 2008 Champion Lewis Hamilton.

WRC ~ Six-time World Rally Champion Sebastien Loeb is expected to
attend, sliding his dominant Citroen C4 WRC around the demanding
Forest Rally Stage. American star Ken Block will make his
Festival debut in his wild 800bhp Ford Fiesta. A host of other
rally stars and cars, past and present, will also be seen in
action, including two-time world champion and Goodwood
first-timer, Miki Biasion.

Motorcycles ~ Legend of the sport Giacomo Agostini, Festival
first-timer Kevin Schwantz, and current world Superbike
Championship leader Leon Haslam, are just some of the many famous
names expected to take to the Goodwood Hill on two wheels this
July.

NASCAR ~ Top NASCAR driver Michael Waltrip will also be present,
along with an impressive line-up of thunderous American racers,
including the storming Toyota Tundra Craftsman Truck.

DOUGIE RETURNS
-----------------------------------------------------------------
Following his memorable visit to the Festival of Speed in 2008,
12-time World Trials Champion Dougie Lampkin will return to
Goodwood to entertain and wow the crowds at the Festival of Speed
this summer.

His previous visit was captured on an entertaining video of him
riding through Goodwood House. Two years on, Lampkin has returned
to Goodwood to showcase his considerable talents in a follow-up
to the original 2008 video where he runs amok around Goodwood
Estate in search of fellow world champions. To view the video

MOVING MOTOR SHOW
-----------------------------------------------------------------
The Earl of March has recently announced the introduction of a
dedicated Manufacturer Preview Day, dubbed the 'Moving Motor
Show,' as a one-day extension to the hugely successful Goodwood
Festival of Speed. On Thursday 1 July 2010 new cars buyers will
be able to enjoy an exclusive day, where they will not only be
able to see the very latest new car models on display, but in
many cases also climb aboard and experience the vehicles
first-hand at each manufacturer's invitation.

The vehicles will run on a special evaluation route that includes
the world famous Goodwood hillclimb, following in the wheel
tracks of many celebrated racing drivers, including Jackie
Stewart, Lewis Hamilton, Jenson Button and Sir Stirling Moss.

The Moving Motor Show is a direct response to the continued
enthusiasm and demand from vehicle manufacturers and the general
car-buying public alike for an annual motor show in Britain. In
recent years the British Motor Show had become bi-annual, and has
now been cancelled altogether for 2010. The Goodwood Moving Motor
Show offers a fantastic opportunity for manufacturers to showcase
their products in a stunning setting and dynamic environment.

attractions at the Festival of Speed, please visit

CARS, STARS & GUITARS
-----------------------------------------------------------------
A rarely-seen collection of distinctive customised cars owned by
some of the world's leading guitarists (e.g; Eric Clapton, Jeff
Beck, ZZ Top's Billy Gibbons and leading American blue's player
Jimmy Vaughan) are planned to be displayed at the Festival this
year, along with each musicians signature guitar. It is also
hoped that the guitarists themselves will strike up and play live
at the event too, alongside their iconic cars.

In addition, the Cricket Pitch area will display around 20 cars
immortalized in song, such as Wilson Pickett's Mustang Sally,
Little Red Corvette by Prince and Hemi Charger by Kill Switch.
During the day, live bands will perform the songs represented by
each of the 20 cars on the live stage next to the display.
