Just got back from a lovely run from Halesworth to Southwold on the Suffolk coast, this was the first official trip out I have done with the old Rover P3 this year and the weather was glorious even at the coast there was no breeze. the run started dead on time, followed a nice route of about 30 miles through some very pretty villages in the Suffolk country side and ended up near the pier in the beautiful town of Southwold. there was about 60 plus vehicles making the run ranging from about fifteen military vehicles, cars from the 1920s up to modern times including an old bus as well and at the end we were joined by many other vehicle who had gone direct to the town making a turn out of about 100 vehicles. Well done the organisers and thanks for a good day out, hope its a good Oman for the rest of the season. PS dim wit that I am I remembered everything except my camera. |
