Owned by a doctors wife.
Engine runs a treat.
It was last on the road in 1991.
Then barn stored,Hurray for dry barns.
On the way home still on the trailer I nipped into our local garage and had the suspension pumped to the correct height.
We have cleaned the interior and exterior,it has come up well.
I lifted the carpets and the original paint is still on the floors.
It has never been welded, the last one I looked at looked like a patchwork quilt underneath.
The trumpets have their original white paint inside.
The exhaust is new.
Overall a good project.
I am going to re-commision for the road, give it a good external clean and polish, get it mot`d and run it.
Then to make perfect give it a respray and a set of new carpets.
I need two front overiders or complete bumper, they are rusted.
A rear overider has a dent, again an overider or complete bumper.
The front grilles have rusted, replacements needed.
Someone has nicked the toolkit and jack etc,I need those.
And the handbook etc.
If anyone can assist in these items please P.M me. Kind Regards. |

Hello Richard H, We went out into the depths of the fens today, luck had it I happened to have a trailer on tow.
We came back with a 1957 A35 2 door.
I love these little cars,I had an A35 van given to me when I was 13 years old to drive round the farm.
Always thought about them but now got one.
It is very good bodywise, but I need to sort out the interior.
It has seats, carpets etc, but I would like to fit better ones.
A replacement interior secondhand if possible would finish it off.
I will post some photo`s. |
