A grey and wet day at Thirlestane. Just a selection of photos mainly of older cars at the event:

Nice selection, really like the interior and engine shots. Thanks!

Gator looks a little stuffed! Laughing

Interesting photos! the 'gator reminds me, an entrant turned up at Tatton on Saturday with a live parrot perched on top of a cage sat in his Healey's passenger seat.

Hi

The same parrot was perched on the windscreen when arriving at Malpas last year, all was good, it perched on the chaps shoulder all weekend whilst he was walking around the show.

Then we took the engines into the ring, and did our usual wistle blowing fun, at which time the parrot took off, and flew into the distance!

Wonder if that is the same one, or a replacement, and whether they have learnt to keep it on a tether?!

The two cars starting DS .... Where is the DS number from?

Cheers

Dave

Thanks for your replies chaps. Yes, I confess I never saw the 'gator move unaided.

No parrots but there was a guy in the ring demonstrating the retrieval skills of a hawk and he had to pack up his show before it came back. Possibly affected by a nearby police car demonstrating its extremely loud siren.
