Currently i am restoring a E83w fordson thames my cab was badly rusted and both doors also were rusted but recently picked up a cab and truck for spares though with bad surface rust so have been busy grinding belt sanding and wire brushing and sandblasting the cab to remove rust.Got the tip using the belt sander off another car resto site this works quite well grinder leaves marks tends to dig in.Anyway currently restoring the sterring wheel as horribly cracked was going to throw it away but found an article on repairing them so gave it a go and has cost about $8.00 new zealand to repair and has come up like new i am very happy with the end result. The hardest part is the sanding quite time consuming but definitely worth it especially when these parts are near impossible to get in tidy condition i have 2 and both were badly cracked could see the metal frame though the plastic.
