What do you people think about HVLP spray systems, I was thinking of buying such a system to spray components like wheels, petrol tanks and the like, surely it'd be cheaper than buyin spray cans in the long run, probably could be used to patch up bodywork as well, but would it be pushing it too much trying to do a whole car with it?

This is a link to such a system;

I had one of the first Apollo Spray units (http://www.apollospray.co.uk/). It was OK, but the gun was cheap and nasty and didn't use standard compressed air fittings so I could't buy a better one. I don't know if there's a standard HVLP fitting, but make sure whatever you buy is compatible.

Hers a link to one of the most basic type and does use standard
type PCL adaptors.

When I worked for Brown Brothers as a sales rep this is the sort of
gun the independant body repair shops would buy.... (though it
would be sold as a bodyline brand.

However the professional boys usually went for Devilbliss:

Good Luck with it anyhow Cool

imfinlay, did the system work fine though, I mean when spraying, was it consistent and keeping on flowing?
what was the orange peel like?
And wasn't it possible to find an adapter for use with a better gun?

D4B, is that only the gun though?
