I have an Arnott supercharger..i have found plenty of interweb pages on them but i cant find out what this model would have been fitted to.
The charger has the following numbers stamped into it..do they mean anything? L60H248

Could well have been fitted to an early beetle i beleive? 1949 Circa.
Is it for sale? And how much would you want for it? |

John
There is an article in this months Classic Cars (P80) on the 1955 Arnott Climax sports car that show a very similar supercharger on a Coventry Climax engine. _________________ Brian

It could be a scam, someone just using photos they found online (here or elsewhere), so ask them for specific new photos and see if you get some. Could be genuine, but as with all things online, tread carefully before sending any money anywhere.

Ask for a photo with a readily available item next to or on it. A friend of mine was after a very nice frequency analyzer so he asked the seller to send a picture of the item with a pair of scissors on it. Needless to say no picture was forthcoming. _________________ 1936 Morris 8 Series 1

I had 2 of these and they went to a chap near Oxford..he was going to use them on an old Alfa...i know he was keeping them because he had been looking for one for many years...they fetched a surprisingly high price. _________________ Rust Junky & oil addict. |

Thats a good idea,I was offered some hard to find stuff for a P5 a few weeks back and was suspicious tghat the guy didn't actually have them to sell. The pictures could have been copied from somewhere, this would have been a reasonably easy way to see if it was genuine. _________________ Thirty years selling imperial hand tools for old machinery(Now happily retired). |

An Australian insurance company, that specialises in historic vehicles, asks for photographs of the car with a newspaper in the photo that is less than a week old. Also a clever idea. _________________ Dane- roverdriver but not a Viking. |
