Can anyone tell me the correct name of the 'thing' I need to have on the power source to my radio to stop interference from the engine electrics? I went into my local Maplins and the 14 year old kid behind the counter assured me that there isn't any such thing as it would only be needed for an electric car!! (as most cars are either petrol or diesel - he explained).
I know there is but cant remember the name - bugger!
Its for my 1972 T2 Campervan - kids need some sounds in it - lol |

Known as a snubber or contact suppresor, here is the maplin link
http://www.maplin.co.uk/contact-suppressor-498
I had someone in Maplin try to tell me that a 10 ohm resistor was now the same as an 47 ohm resistor, "they must have made them compatable" he said .....
