Yes, a real bad weekend for aviation. In England, there would be a clamour to ban air racing. The Americans seem to generally have a different outlook on things. It is an event that everyone knows, like the Indy 500, and is a vital part of the years sporting calender. I think you will still be able to go there sometime Rick. Personally, I find the huge Oshkosh airventure week, more of an attraction. A couple of friends have been to Reno, and had a good time, but I think they prefer the EAA event at Oshkosh too. |
