I had a good old rummage around family photos last weekend and rediscovered some of shots of myself with some old toys.
Have a look at these and see if any of you can identify the make and/or model of anything shown.

The "little angel" in the photos is your truly. Appearances are deceptive, believe me.

Good luck.

All looks to be Triang stuff to me, and I had a pedal car like that so you must be around the age of 30 as well! Wink

Thank you!
That's the nicest thing anybody has said to me in the C21st!

The pedal car was a pain to try and propel with the fore and aft pedals I recall. It was much easier to use one's feet or try and put a harness on the family's Scottish Terrier and be pulled along. He rarely cooperated!
I do remember the son of a local wealthy farmer having a "special" pedal car which was about twice the size of mine. It was so heavy as to be all but immovable.
I didn't know it then but now I can identify is being a J40.

Cracking pictures once again (suitable for the pedal car pics page on the main site too!! http://www.oldclassiccar.co.uk/pedal-cars.htm).

I've a blue (rusty) pedal car in the garage, just like your red one, and a couple of Triang lorries to boot Smile

Help yourself with pleasure.

Does anybody know the make of the pedal car or is it a Triang as Ruston suggested?

Thanks - I think everything is Triang in those pics, the pedal car could have loosely been based on the Mk2 Ford Zephyr.

Hi
Did anyone see the magazine last month with a whole article about classic ride on/in classic vehicle toys?
I think it was Classic Cars.

Ruston's reply applies to me in every way too.

Yes it's a Triang Ford Zephyr pedal car, just like this, although being based on a Mark 1 I think that is more likely to be 1950s:

Unfortunately I missed out on that one as I didn't realise this one was coming up for sale; I'm on the lookout for something like this for our grandson, he'll soon be growing out of his Little Tykes car Smile
