Would love to have the £ and the space for something like this in the garden.

(Supermarine Swift)

Does anyone here have anything "tastefully" placed in the yard outside like this? or perhaps a steam engine, a railway carriage, or similar?

Change of oil and I'm sure it would be airworthy again!!!

Occasionally I go into work by rail; from the train, somewhere round Stockpot you can see a semi detached house with a garden that backs onto the railway and its full of railway stuff, signals , signs and the chopped off fronts of old diesel engines Very Happy

Must have a very understanding better half Wink

Wow!
It would surely be a crime to be left decaying in a garden! However desireable.
Surely, as a sole survivor, it should be properly preserved or even tidied up, in a museum. This was the rival of the Hawker Hunter. And on paper at least, the superior plane.
Such a shame if it is not preserved.
Jim.

I see the guide opening price has now dropped by a mere £30k Shocked
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/300608677166

It reads as being the only complete example of that specific version, but I'm sure there are other Swifts out there in preservation - I think!?
