I have a Beresford water pump date unknown, possibly 1938 or there about, the engine has had bearing failure so I have the crank of to get reground, I have been advised to get a replacement conrod for the one which the half shells slipped round on as it seemed to have had a fair heating by looking at it, I was told by the company who has the crank that its a Austin 8 crank, any articals I can find on them state either Austin 7 or 8, so my question is is there a difference between the 2 con rods as I have no idea.
any help greatly recieved
