Had an interesting chat with a couple of fellas from the vintage restoration place where buzzy is learning about restoration techniques. They do proper old Bentleys and other such delights, so aren't of the "filler, old newspapers and a lick of 2 pack" variety of rebuilder thankfully.

They are up for doing the restoration of the old girl, to get it all done and back on the road (its been off the road since 1955), but it wouldn't be a cheap exercise so I think I need to have a bit of think. It'd mean some of the other stuff going thats the only downside Shocked

hmmmmmmmmmmmmm

I can't imagine it would be cheap but what a crowd puller it would be when finished!

Maybe you could manage with that and just one other classic? Or perhaps if you have to pay incrementally you can find new homes for the others as and when.

It would certainly be nice to see the Dodge restored and might possibly bring in some kind of revenue when finished?

Hi

OOO selling stuff, now that is bad, us hoarders don't sell, we only buy!!

Which would have to be sold? Or is that what you are thinking about.

Sure would be good to see the dodge running and legal again!

Cheers

Hi

If you get rid of stuff, how long will it take you to fill all of your new found garage space!??

Cheers

Dave

P.S... I agree that getting the Dodge looking good is a excellent idea though!!

"not fill it up again....."
Good luck with THAT one then, LOL! I tried that once. Sold a car, made some space. Within a year, I had 2 MORE cars! So I learned not to attemp to get rid of anything, lest it double and return!
I like the idea of paying for the resto over time.

Hmmmm if only it was the same with money Rolling Eyes
Rick. ...the old girl is one of a kind and needs to be shown to the world in all her glory. I know how hard it will be getting rid of your other vehicles but there will be others like them and you never know...you might be in the position in the future to buy them back.

Had another chinwag over at the resto place this morning, I'm hoping that something can be done to get the old girl rumbling once more...

Have given the local resto place the nod, so hopefully things will begin to happen with the old girl. A few of the other old projects will have to go, but it'll clear the decks a bit and raise some ££ for the big project

The Fords will have to go for starters, and then the spares..!

Not sure when the dodge will be delivered to the workshop, depends a bit on the transport bloke. Half expected him to phone this afternoon, but I guess it'll be after the long weekend when I hear from him
