Hemmings reported on this proposed sale earlier this week. Some web links follow - there's an English (machine) translation of the car catalogue included.

The auction was on Saturday. Hopefully there will be some sort of report this week.

It appears to have been reprieved. A consortium of SAAB AB, the Aerospace company, the Wallenburg family Trust and Trollhattan Council have teamed up to buy the collection and reopen the museum.
Good news for all SAAB fans. I called in there about three years ago and although not a SAAB officianado, enjoyed mooching around. One or two of the exhibits looked as if they could do with proper restoration, but generally, it is an interesting collection and well worth a visit if the chance presents itself.
