First registered on the 4th September 1951.
She is biege in colour (under the blue paint)
She is the floor mounted gearstick version, prior to them changing to column change.
I have an MOT dated 1991 which was when this vehicle was last on the road.
The owner removed the doors, bonnet, bootlid etc etc and stored them in his house.
The rest of the car was stored under a carport.
Amazingly the engine is free,so I will carry out the required recommissioning and get it running.
The interior is in very good condition although removed, the headlinng is still intact etc.
I have a black 2 owner 1951 Austin Devon on the road and in show condition already,I only rang about some spares advertised and ended up with this complete car.!!!
This car is very solid and too good to break,so it really needs putting back on the road.
I am so glad I managed to save it,a couple of friends came this morning to help push it up to my workshop, and were really enthusiastic about the car, looking at all the paperwork and manuals...what is it about us men that gets us all excited about things like this.
My wife has her own classics and enjoys driving them and attending the shows and events etc but us chaps get into things that little bit more....must go now and play with it.!!!

Regards

As an update..
I had the engine running the day after the car arrived. It had stood in storage for over 20 years.
The engine sounds very good with perfect oil pressure.. Amazingly the carburettor and fuel pump worked fine. Normally with cars that have stood a while the pump and carb are full of gunge and require a strip down.
Next job is to get some form of brakes working, then I can move it about with ease.
