Hello Fellow Midget Owners.
Yes I have owned an MG but it is a MGA Roadster 1961.
Restoring a Morris Minor Van i decided to look out for a MG Midget for spares,I needed the engine, rear diff and front braking system to improve the van
No I was not looking for anything worth restoring but a complete basket case.
Looking on Ebay one evening I saw an Mg Midget advertised locally,a quick phone call and a deal was done, the owner even offered to deliver to my home.
When it arrived i could not believe my luck the car was too good to break,so now I am putting it back on the road.
It is a 1972 round wheelarch model, tartan red.

After working on some of my other vehicles it is now the turn of the MG Midget to have some time spent on her.
To date i have carried out the following....

Engine serviced and now running.
Clutch bled gearbox operating ok.
Braking system overhauled.
Lights and electrical items all working.
Welding work carried out to the drivers side front spring hanger and floor section,(i think this is why it was taken off the road years ago.)
Small amount of welding to passenger side spring hanger section.

I have managed through Ebay and other internet sites to locate a pair of doors (as new),bonnet (as new),bootlid (as new) ,pair of newly upholstered front seats, lights new hood and interior trim etc.

They are such a small car to work on after all the welding I carried out on the Rover P5B Coupe.

Photo`s to follow.
