Hi All,
I've recently acquired a rear lamp but I can't find any information about it. Does anyone have an early Lucas Catalogue and can shed any light on it?
The rear is marked ST48 and it has two single contact bulb holders with glass lenses, one red, one amber. There's also a number plate lens in the side.
I suspect it's motorcycle originally, but I've never seen another one like it.
I was thinking, if I can find another the amber may make for a nice rear indicator conversion?

It's similar to the Type 312 (Owl lamp) but smaller I think - 4 1/2" long and 2" wide with 1 1/2" diameter lenses. Similar lenses to the MT110 lamp.
The amber lens confuses me, both the Type 312 and the ST20 (which was a motorcycle lamp) have amber lenses, but this is before flashing indicators, so what were they used to show?
