HI FOLKS
the wifes hillman failed the mot yesterday .on the front shocks leaking badly, also the osf track rod end .tre's no problem to get .but the shocks thats another story. ive had nearly 8 hours of ringing around with no joy of finding any for this car or sunbeam alpines which are the same ,series 111's 111'c no problem .ive tried every rootes parts dealer i know of .the only ones i can get are those spax shocks ,way to overpriced, £98.00 each .used to have them on a mk 2 escort bloody ride was awful so took them off and put standard ones back on rode a lot better so dont really want to fit them, if any body has a pair of standard oil shocks knocking about to fit said car i would be greatful or if there is anything else that fits from another car .
thanks craig Confused Confused

I looked on speedy spares website and a front pair for the series 5 are 125 sterlings but they are spax as you said.

I don't suppose it might be possible to get the originals reconditioned? I've never heard of anyone doing it, but then I've never looked...
