Was tempted but it's not a circuit I like, too many fences between spectators and track - give me Mallory, Cadwell or Oulton any day.
And I'm told there's only one Riley entered |

I agree, Oulton is my favourite by far, but I was invited to take the truck to Doni so it'd be nice to re-unite it with the place after 17 years

| So, anyone going this year? Our local club, the SCCCC, has a display stand so I'm taking the Firenza there for the three days. Hope the weather stays like this. |

| Not going for the same reasons I gave last year. I will however be at Oulton Park on May 11, a far better spectators' circuit. |

Don't think I'll be there this year, I'm hoping to go over to Curborough for a VSCC sprint meeting.

Looks like you found a good viewing point on the pit straight

I was there last year with the truck, I'm in the process of modifying the fuel supply on it at the moment.

Yes Rick, found out the embarrassing way today that pit lane access is only on Friday, not on race day. Oh well.
Dakota yesterday, Lancaster and friends today.
Not finished going through the pics yet, anyone guess which car I was obsessed with seeing this weekend?

Which sadly states:
"It is with great regret that the directors of Donington Park Racing Limited, operators of Donington Park Circuit, have to report that, following an accident in a race for historic touring cars held as part of the race meeting taking place on Sunday, the driver of car number 67 - a 1965 Mini Cooper S - Christian Devereux of Chiswick, London succumbed to the injuries sustained at approximately 4.30pm."
My condolences to his family, friends and racing colleagues. |
