That brings back memories of schoolboy enthusiasm for british achievements in the cutting edge of aeronautics with planes like the Fairey Delta and DH110 etc. Peter Twiss and his compatriots were schoolboy heroes then. A status now reserved for people who kick a ball of air around at great risk to themselves.

Hi
I didn't see the FD2, but I did see it later when BAC rebuilt it with ogee wings as a flying test bed for the Concord wing form, it was then redesignated as the Bristol 221
