Well thought I found the worst -- but nope -- have a look at this.

its the drive shaft.
The person who changed the wheel bearings, didnt do a very good job.
It didnt have any grease around the axle, so it was completely rusted solid to the seperator,
and the inner bearings.

First weeks work.

Sunroof & roof aerial fitted.

Had a new Wool of England cloth headlining made, by a specialist.

The old one smelled so bad, that the company had to keep it in a sealed plastic bag, so it didnt stink up the workshop Rolling Eyes

Next was the rearend, I could finally see how the car looked, with the NOS US spec rearlights, I bought for it 7 years earlier .

Hi ,

thanks, yes they were one of the better things I got for the car.

I actually spoke to that Lucas guy last week, but he still havent located the ones, he have.

The guy I bought mine from, tried to buy the NOS Lucas parts, many years ago, when they were found.
It was TOO much for him, there were soo many pallets, and he didnt have the space .

Dont rub my nose into the weather "thing" again Wink we STILL have rain Rolling Eyes but someday it will get out again.

Here is a picture of the enginebay, with front subframe fitted, and ready for the engine.

3 in the morning, and the engine is ready to into the car Smile

We were now at the end of the road.
Here is Thomas - Lennart - Jesper & as usual my Mother in charge of the coffee.

Next step was to get the car back on the floor, so I could fit doors.

Only a few hours left - car was now off the lift, and both doors fitted.

Only carb & bonnet left.

We had now made it to IMM 2007.

Here she is, couldnt start/drive, but she was there.
