Here's my current resto on my 65 Singer Vogue. It sure did look a sorry sight but it has come a long way since the 10 of June.

I like a little scrubber...sorry that should read scrubbing.
A nice Rootes find.
There is nothing more satisfying than finding a car all dirty and tired looking and giving it a good powerwash and valet inside and out.
I always think clean windows make the car look a lot brighter .
Taking the gearbox out and polishing that though is taking things a little too far.

It's a little more than a powerwash and valet m8. I actually think that the car should be cleaned thoroughly everywhere. There is no point in putting a clatty part back on a car when it can be cleaned and made presentable. In addition, it helps when looking for leaks and such. The plan is to clean and redo the whole underside, every bush and balljoint replaced and the car will be resprayed. The engine will also be overhauled to a degree, I think it will be worth it, especially if I have access to a garage ramp and every tool you could think of...it's all good! _________________ 'Iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another' |

Lol,
It may be just the place to park it up. Just a few things taken out and it will fit fine. _________________ 'Iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another' |

Nice project looks to be in good condition (not too much rust)

Yes I was fortunate that it had been dry stored and then pushed into a garden when storage fees went unpaid. (caught it just in time.) It has had only one owner and I was told it was an old soldier who had it. Down between the front seets were old parking tickets from the British legion car park at 2d in old money so it may well be true that it was an old soldier.
The whole underneath of the car has no rust as it was coated in some sort of oil (probably engine oil.) The only rust is really a couple of very small spots on the sill and front valance and at the bottom of the C pillars.
Mechanically it's in top order engine wise although I had to replace some bits that for some reason were missing. It started first turn after 25 years of not running. In addition, full clutch kit is now replaced...happy days! _________________ 'Iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another' |

It only cost me £500 so it worked out ok. I had to transport it from Warrington to Glasgow and that was £260 but it was worth it. Yes the wood is real it has a walnut veneer. _________________ 'Iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another' |
