Yes I watched this last night on BBC4, I was totally drawn into it all. They ought to supply those Rose Rimmed Spectacles at the cinema instead of those 3D ones.

Loved this programme, makes me want to restore a coach....

I must not restore a coach
I must not restore a coach
I must not restore a coach
I must not restore a coach

Very Happy

Drat,drat,and double drat!
"not available in your area"
I well remember lusting after Corgi's model of the Midland Red motorway coach.
If you're planning on restoring a coach, you'd better have a very large bank balance. And then, when it's finished, where do you put it?
Still, there are hundreds (or maybe thousands) of restored buses/coaches in the UK,so the problems must be surmountable.

That was very good thanks, I was once offered a Bedford ob coach about twenty years ago for restoration for £1000 complete and running but in need of body work I had the money but dithered and let it go. wish I hadn't now loking back it was a lot of vehicle for the money.

Very interesting, but the thought of spending 15 days driving to Russia and back in a non aircon, 1950's coach powered by an old normally aspirated diesel carrying some of the passengers shown at the Pontins clip fills me with horror !! What was the bit with the guys with their trouser legs rolled up walking like monkeys all about? Shocked

I think that was part of the traditional knobbly knees competition. Very Happy
