Wonderful film.
The amount of people (women) polishing the windows and paint.
To think that quality control, though it seemed thorough with finished cars going up the track hill etc, was nothing. A Dutch car magazine once tested a new Herald and found the brakes failed completely. If that would happen in 2011 you can be sure of a lot of comment/press about that, but then they accepted this as something that can be expected of the delivery of a new car!
The Herald is the car I most regret having sold in 1993. Such a great characterful car.

Nice little piece of nostalgia.The car going through the water bath reminds me that my estate leaked like a sieve!
The engine was sewing machine like,the gearbox less so.
One thing I always liked was the full front bonnet.It allowed you to sit on the front wheel to do the inevitable repairs.
