The Standard Triumph Marque Day was held at Duxford on 29th May. Although rather grey and very windy there was a good turn out of cars - mainly TR's, Stags and Herald / Vitesse Types with a selction of Spitfires and the odd GT6. There were also a few interesting Standard vehicles.

Thanks for sharing John. Some very nice Standards there, I quite like that customised Vanguard estate and that Swallow Doretti is a very rare sight indeed.

Excellent pics. I too loved the Vanguard estate with the woody inserts.
Thanks,

Although I'm a TR owner / enthusiast I have to agree that the Vangard estate probably was the star of the event. Interestingly it towed the Vangard pick-up into Duxford so clearly it has plenty of power as well as looking great. Not sure what the problem was with the pick-up but they managed to get it started and it got into position under its own power. Hope they both got home OK. _________________ One thorn of experience is worth a whole wilderness of warning |
