Can anyone tell me what type of shocks should be fitted to the rear of my 1946 Morris 8 Series E? Also where could I find some from? Any pictures of the correct set up would be a great help.

Hi

I'll post a pic later, its quite a simple set up; Armstrong lever arm shock with a straight link to the leaf spring.

Below is a pic the shock fitted to my 39 SE they were unbranded not oil filled, the links were the same dimensions as the Armstrong setup;

It now has the original Armstrong set up.

Rear shocks with original Arnstrong set up;

I have a box of M8 SE shocks, so give me a shout if you need some.

thanks - when I had a good look I found that someone had attached a modern stlye shock from the spring to the old shock arm and this is now touching the bottom of the car! Guessing the old shocks have had it - some type as the second picture.
