so the plan is to do another photographic restoration as I did with the Alvis all those years ago Laughing (2 years ago to be exact) Laughing

more pics will be added when the car has arrived.

hi rick

the big humber will be a no go now....the bloke has had it valued as it is and has put it up for sale at the valued price (way out of my price range)

and besides, it wouldn't fit on our drive anyway Laughing

after doing some research on simca this morning on the internet, I'm thinking of going down the route of a simca rally car replica, similar to these.......

i think they look pretty cool and the only major difference to mine are the wheel arches.

And induction, ignition, exhaust, engine, suspension, brakes and roll cage.
I must say the orange one looks cute. Wink

Laughing nic, I just mean the major difference on the outside Laughing

I'll probably leave the interior and everything you listed as normal (due to cost) Very Happy

Go for it as long as you paint it vermillion. Same as my Midget.

vermillion would be a nice choice, if you do it as a rally car it will need a bright colour to stand out and some nice wheels with some dish, whats the pcd on these?

I like that too, much more in period, but where will you find those stickers?
And what are those wheels?

stickers are found.....not that I'll be needing them for sometime Laughing

theres a bloke who lives on the next street that does vehicle stickers/sign writing and I've showed him the above photo and he said 'not a problem' so just need to get the rest of the car sorted and painted then he can do his stuff.

delivery of the simca is expected tommorow, I can't wait to get started on it, I've had 'itchy fingers' since finishing the Alvis Laughing

Think I'd prefer prefer something similar to these;

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/MG-MGA-MGB-GT-Classic-Retro-Sport-4-Spoke-Wheel-15-/260812464688?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item3cb9a26230

or

or these but in a correct pcd

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ULTRALITE-RETRO-CLASSIC-MINI-13x7-ALLOY-WHEELS-Z0707-/260735165298?pt=UK_CarParts_Acc_Wheels_tyres_Trims_Car_Rims_ET&hash=item3cb506e372

Even these, I really like them;

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/4x100-retro-star-black-alloy-wheels-set-4-/160614688751?pt=UK_CarParts_Acc_Wheels_tyres_Trims_Car_Rims_ET&hash=item256561a7ef

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/15-4x100-retro-euro-gold-alloy-wheels-set-4-/160614565872?pt=UK_CarParts_Acc_Wheels_tyres_Trims_Car_Rims_ET&hash=item25655fc7f0

Ford RS 4 spokes will really stand out for being such, ford wheels on a simca!!!
