Is that anything like a Runabout (I've not checked up)? As a nipper I used to zip around local fields on a couple of Runabouts that dad had.

the Runabout a bit more modern than the RM1 Rick.the RM1 is a clutchless contraption only made for 2 years.the engine is a sturmey-archer(same as in a minimotor, whatever that is Confused )a mate dumped this on me 5 or 6 years ago.

Just had a look at some pics of the RM1, quite a neat little machine. I could get into collecting old mopeds, especially as they take up so little space......... Wink

Two nifty finds there gents, the Peugeot is a very racy little number, and the Lohmann must be really rare. Please don't show me any more finds like these Smile

Oh that little peugout is gorgeous, and I do not like much mopeds in general but I'd have it without any doubt, even has some nice patina to it, leave it just as is!!

Yes, we still have a few.
3 Cyclemasters
1 Berini
1 NSU Quickly
1 Mini Motor

The Berini will be for sale when i get around to MOT'ing it again, i recently dragged it out into daylight having last used it in 1978.

Nice collection there DM Smile

Not quite a Runabout, but powered by the same 49cc engine - this was delivered the other weekend .... behold the magnificence of the Mobylette Mobymatic Smile

It starts well, but needs tyres and inner tubes before too much action
