Lovely project, nice to see it being done properly, the only way to make sure it lasts.
The Karman Ghia is a lovely shape car, I know its not always the done thing but some cars just look better when lowered
Well done to your son & good luck with the rest, it's going to look great! |

Thanks for your sympathetic reply, not everyone is as broad minded!
PS, nothing has been done that cannot be brought back to standard easily! _________________ No-one ever reads this bit anyway! |

I like custom cars as well, I spent a few years building a 'Cal-Look' Beetle in the eighties when Bug-Jam was all the rage it was great and had some great times with that car.
It was growing in somebody's garden as you say, it wouldn't of been too hard to put back to standard, but if it wasn't for liking the look of a de-chromed, lowered etc, beetle it would have stayed rotting in that garden!....and it was rotten
I think if it's a car in a bad state and someone's prepared to spend the time and money to get it on the road again then fair enough.
Not too keen on seeing a perfectly good original roadworthy vehicle messed about with |
