Advise sought - where can I take my transit van for MOT Fail on small areas of chassis for patch welding. I live in the area of Diss, Norfolk. Leads appreciated but not too far away. Thank you. |

I cannot help, though many rears ago I lived in the area (St Ives), but as an ex MOT inspector a word of caution.
Whatever leads you receive be wary of garages (smaller ones anyway).
The average motor mechanic may be able to "attach" convincing looking patches, but many do not really understand the words "penetration welding". Succesfully covering up holes without improving the structural strength.
Far better to use a firm which specialises in welding.

I'd offer but my workshop is a bit chocker t the moment and Ive got a car stuck on the ramp

Go into diss on victoria rd, go under the railway bridge, right at mini roundabout go along 200 yds, right again and they are on the left at the end |
