I like the finish you got on the brake drum, what did you use? It looks like 'black lead' for fire grate...

hello, glad everyone likes it so far Very Happy Julian, i used a high-temp spray paint thats used on BBQ's, i also used it on the rad fins ( which i will take some pics of Smile )

small update, i removed the dash board from the body so that i can stick the oil and temp guage on the engine to test it. i dont really know how the intrument cluster comes out though, does the front panel pop off, or do i have to un screw something from behind? i have the entire dashboard sitting on my bench so it no problem to poke at it, i just dont want to break something and have to fix it later Smile

ha, figured out how to get the guages out, i have been cleaning them and getting them ready to put back in. it apears they all work Smile

just a small update. i got the starter that i bought put on and it works great, it spins the engine over perfectly Very Happy
i also have assembled the water pump and put it back on, now i just need some rad hose and i will have a working coolent system Smile
