Yesterday while cruising in the Devon I saw a local fella in his WW2 Jeep bowling along, and today, despite it being a sodden overcast kind of day, a very clean and original HA Viva with elderly pilot at the wheel. Nice to see oldies in use even when the weather is a bit grim!!!!

Heard something a little out of the ordinary blatting past this afternoon - peered out of the window and caught a glimpse of an Alpine A110 being given some beans. I think I've seen it before at a show locally, looked jolly nice!! this one was at the Nantwich show in 05 so probably one and the same

On a more sedate note, spotted a mid 70s Sherpa camper in a driveway in Shrewsbury today, didn't look too bad either

While out yesterday in the A40 I spied an old Dennis fire engine (parked outside Nantwich fire station - it usually lives indoors), an MGB GT, TR6, and a tasty Fiat Dino - can't remember the last time I saw one of those!!

Going out to the shops this evening (again on board the A40) we spied a very smart Herald Coupe, in pale blue and white - looked a real bobby dazzler!!

Saw a Ford GT40 go past today, in the full Gulf racing livery. The sound was something else (I heard it going back down the road 10 mins later) so think it could well be a real one - looked fantastic Cool Cool

Looked like this, but with numbers crossed out on the doors (a requirement of running a competition car on public roads):

As seen at today's Ipswich Transport Musuem Historic vehicle run from Ipswich to Felixstowe, 600+ vehicles entered all pre 1975. Lots of interesting stuff, but here's a couple

There were one or two people on the sea front at Felixstowe.

And finally some old banger!

great pic ON, somehow I missed you posting that!!

We went for a drive around N. Wales today and spotted a convoy of Austin 7s nr Llangollen, and a thundering 20s Bentley on the Horseshoe Pass. Not too many other sightings, just a Triumph 2000 estate behind a wall (looked like a nice 'un), and a Moggy Traveller in Colwyn Bay.

Hi

I saw some thriumph something?
A black 4.2 l E type jag
Something of american origin
Black VW beetle
Moggy
and a few other classics, but was in a rush to get back to the car being caught in an extremeley heavy downpour!

There must have been something on, as they all seemed to be traveling in the same direction, ealy to mid morning!

Cheers
