Hi
I saw a nice, red, black bumper MGB roadster (hood up) complete with a chrome boot rack, heading North on the A1(M) in Yorkshire this morning; and a scruffy looking gold/beige Rangie on a "K" prefix in Bolton this evening. _________________ Bristols should always come in pairs.

What a day........ saw so many classics I thought it must be another drive it day!
I had to drive from Chester to Bristol and back today...the M5 was closed so I used A roads along the English Welsh border.
On the A41 south there was a gunmetal colored Jag Mk11 on a forecourt, 30 secs later a red MGA roadster is heading towards me. Then I spot a a Humber snipe on the back of a transporter and a bright white (colour didn't look right) TR3 in Hereford. On the way back an early 80's 911, a couple of dismantled 70's Capri's in a yard near Church Stretton . Then a white MGC and adjasent to a railway crossing somewhere on the A49 in Shropshire, there was a Routemaster bus and large 50's lorry, could have been a Scamell, then a Orange Mk1 Escort (young driver) who had his right foot firmly on the floor
Finally where the A49 & A41 meet at Prees, there is an old garage , often featured in this forum , that has a selection of old crocks...difficult to identify at speed! on the other side of the road there must have been 100 bikes in the "truck stop" must have been a meet ? (about 19:30)

I know the level crossing/bus/lorry of which you speak, there's always something there of interest. Same for the garage.
Thursday evening is biker night, or TT night, where all the local bikers hoon off down to that cafe for a meet up, before waking up the rest of the area on their way home again.

Quite a few Minis spotted around Clevedon this evening, some foreign registered - must be some sort of club meeting going on. |

I think you'll find that the colour would have been Glacier Blue from your description Rick. |

I've seen a light blue metallic Capri in town today, but not in terribly good condition - some bits of primer around it. It's one I've seen before, this is the photo from when I first saw it:

Since then, it seems to have acquired black and white registration plates and a grille on the tailgate (that might have been there before, I can't tell in the photo). I'd have sworn it had a vinyl roof, but as you see in this photo there is none, but there is black paint across the front edge of the roof. |

Spotted in Newport this afternoon with for sale notices in the windows, a tidy looking Triumph 1300 fwd. Parked up on the side of Chepstow Road close by Jones' fish bar. |

There is a show called Yesterdays Farming taking place this weekend near my work, this morning on my way in I saw plenty of Tractors being carried on trailers to the show. Couple of nice Fordson Majors. _________________ Various Rootes Vehicles. |
