I don't have many regrets in my quite long life, but one of them is selling my 1955 Light Fifteen. We had it when first married, in fact went on honeymoon in it. Sadly it had to go when our daughter arrived! 1955 was the last year of production, and the first production year for its successor, the DS 19. By sheer coincidence, ten years after selling the L15, I bought a 1955 DS 19! That was the start of a long love affair, with various DSs, which lasted until 1988, then various company barges until I found Range Rovers in 1992, but that's another story!
I'd dearly love to have another L15 or DS, but I'm afraid good ones are way out of my league now.

Spotted a pair of XJ Series 1s gathering moss in a driveway yesterday, and also a 1970s S-Class Merc. A 100E and a Herald were seen in a farm building, while a couple of days' earlier I saw a Works-style big Healey driving along, near to Donington, and a smart Series 2 Minor in someone's driveway.

In addition to the LeJog Volvo 122 I spotted this afternoon, I was having lunch in Bakewell and happened to glance out the window just as a Velocette LE 'Noddy Bike' went past, something I haven't seen on the road since the 1960s.

I was overtaken the other day by a beige Triumph Acclaim on a dual carriageway. For a moment I thought that I'd been teleported back to 1984!

White TR 7 with the top down today in Cardiff. Not seen one of these for a long time. Not sure about the colour though.

Rather good BMC video promoting the MGA. Includes Lê Mans, the Alpine Rally and development of the twin cam.

A little bit of family history about the three wheel Morgan. When I was courting Jean, my now wife, her father was unhappy about my three wheeler. Jean's mother, however, had no such worries. She used to date Peter Morgan in the distant past and he would often take out in a three wheeler. Razz

My Father told me how as a youth before the war he acquired a 3 wheeler Morgan. Never having driven a 3 wheeler he and a pal set off at speed, on reentry after launching over a small bridge on the road, there came two very loud bangs, the Old Man braced himself for a double blow out steering wheel fight only to find it was both inflatable seat squabs bursting. He said he quickly sold it for a profit.

Not a classic spot but proof that there is nothing new under the sun.

I saw a newish LR Discovery on the motorway with a large trunk thing attached to the rear. It reminded me of my woodwork teacher’s big old Vauxhall with a sea trunk out back.
