thanks for the info. Jim.i recently topped my Herald trunnions with gear oil in a grease gun...messy!

One minor point perhaps worth mentioning is that I always pump the grease gun until fresh grease starts to be expelled past the dirt shield. That ensures no solidified grease is left in the joint and the passage of lubrication is not blocked.

The car seems to be fine and well there is only a small patch of rust on the bottom of the passenger side door but it was just because the seals on the door arent the greatest but they work and the leak holes at the bottom of the doors were blocked but it will soon be fixed also it was in practical classics in the july issue but it was only a your cars car and been to many car shows in it and seems to have great reviews from everyone my next jobs are build up a hidden speaker system and to under seal the car now!
