I've seen a flyer somewhere but can't find it now. They do a car boot sale with proceeds going to the Air Ambulance, that's listed on their web site. I might try to ask them again, in case they just didn't get the first message, though someone has asked them on FB and they haven't replied.
I guess we shouldn't build this up into more than it is - I've just paid £5 to display my car at Gawsworth Hall and never even asked them where the money was going. Perhaps that's because there has always been a charge for that one, and it's new at the lake. |

Very mixed feelings about VSCC Oulton yesterday. On one hand there was glorious weather and a great selection of cars to look at in the car parks and informal club gatherings - on the other hand easily the weakest race entry I have ever seen at any VSCC race meeting (and I go back to 1975 in that respect). |

I'm inclined to agree, the grids felt a little thin (although the 8C 2300 was a treat to see in action), I assume as a result of following on closely from the Monaco Historique meeting? I like to see pre-war racing cars in action on a circuit - sportscars and many of the specials just aren't that exciting to watch IMO, especially once strung out after a few laps. I prefer to see the latter at sprints and hillclimbs, with the big bangers (including Edwardians) engaged in circuit racing.

A few of our club members are on that. I used to do the static show, but lack of a navigator puts me off doing the road run. Also I'm at the destination on Monday anyway, for the second time this month. |

While it's not technically (OK, not in any way) Cheshire, the classic car meeting at the Wharf Tavern, near Market Drayton, is this coming Thursday evening, the 14th of June. |

I've read that there's another gathering at the Wharf Tavern tomorrow evening, too. |

This weekend at LLangollen Railway is the 60s gathering.
I’m there on Saturday.

I'm told there is a meeting at the Wharf Tavern (technically not quite Cheshire) on August 9th from 7pm. My next is Tatton Park in a couple of weekends, then Oulton, then Cholmondeley on the first Sunday in September. |

I am led to believe there is a meet up in Audlem this month, does anyone have any details or idea of where I could get some info?
