Not mine but this seemed like the place to post this request. Friends of mine have bought this black Austin 8 GS1. Is anyone making rear window rubbers, and also those for the rear (fixed) quarter windows behind the rear doors?

thanks, RJ

I'm not sure to be honest, I suppose PB, Woollies etc may sell the lengths, they were wondering if rubbers made to size are around? Maybe Scotts in Oz have them, I'll suggest that too.

I suspect the former is the desired outcome, but it could end up being the latter. It's super original, original paint, cracking interior etc so I know he wants to hang on to it. He has owned it before, selling it 6-7 years ago then bought it back recently.

Being in windscreen trade, down-under, I would go online with Scotts rubber and check 218.015 or something similar, and match up with a section of rubber out of car. You will have to buy it by the meter, as I don't think you will find them made up. I replaced rear and side 1/4 rubbers recently on A40 DEVON and Scotts rubbers fitted well. Very Happy Very Happy
