I'm loving these ads keep them coming, it gives us younger people (I'm 36) a good idea of the days of classic motoring.

First time I have seen those E-Type American (?) spec. over riders as shown on the "Capture a Jaguar" advert. I reckon most people must have removed them straight away - terrible looking things!!

Ah the Sunbeam-Talbot Ten or as described by a well known now deceased writer whose name I cannot recall "a Hillman Minx in a party frock" which indeed it was.
When you consider the great Coatelen designed Sunbeams and Roesch designed Talbots with their advanced OHV engines etc etc then reflect on the models produced after the Rootes takeover of STD Motors then this sidevalve rebodied Hillman was a great example of degeneration in design.
Yes I've driven one in droptop form and as an inoffensive car it was fine but compared to the 75 95 90 and 105 etc of earlier Talbot years or Twin cam 20.9 16 23.8 etc Sunbeams (have driven many of these) a sad disapointment.

NB Just remembered writer was Michael Sedgwick in book "Cars of the 30's" not the A-Z but the hardbook of 1970.
Great adverts all of them though and thanks all posters.
