At last i can make an update progress has been a bit slow but fabrication has started on making up the body mounts

a further update great things are happening fabrication on passenger side sills and mounts is progressing nicely

At last a further update the panel fabrication is coming along nicely one inner rear wing has been done boot floor has been straightened rear mounts done and a start made on other inner wing progress was held up by work on my armstrong saphire

Both inner rear wings now done just passenger side sill to be finished and all major welding should be done

The work looks first class, I am glad you decided to restore the saloon body. A wise decision if the weather keeps on its present course.

I scuttled back from a local show recently under the prompting of a heavy shower.

I worked on a Riley Adelphi some years ago, they are beautifully made.

a further progress update door bottoms have had new wood scarfed in and now as strong as ever unusually the top of the doors are steel and bottoms are ally rear wheel arches have been skimmed and stone chipped






sorting out the running gear ready to refit sometime in the next couple of weeks i hope you all like the updates

another quick update the underside of body has now had its first coat of waxoil so looking good was zinc coated when blasted and 2 coat of primer then waxoil so should be good for at least a few years yet



it was decided to give axels and running gear a fresh coat of paint prior to refitting



plenty more updates to come so watch this space

at last the Riley is starting to look like a car again running gear has been refitted as has the engine and gearbox propshaft connected unfortunately no work will be done for about a month due to his other customers requirments and staff shortages

the only progress to report is that i took all the chrome items to be re chromed over to the platers S & T in Yate nr Bristol who have come very highly recommended price came in at £3000 so i hope it's worth it will update soon

picked up most of the chrome from S&T platers and pleased to say they have made a first class job just awaiting the radiator shell and headlight bowls also the upholstery is off to trmmers to be rebuilt using leather as originally will post some more pics soon as i can

Great to watch it coming together so well, and to see a saloon being resurrected rather than a special being built up from its under-garments.

picked up the last of the chrome work from S&T platers today i hope to get some pics tomorrow headlight bowls look fantastic having been re silvered not seen the Riley for 10 days so hopefully some progress has been made
